We are in need of a Technical Business Analyst who has in-depth knowledge of the software process and can effectively communicate with the stakeholders of our projects. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience asking probing questions to formulate detailed specifications. We need someone who is motivated, flexible and passionate about their craft to work in this fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who doesn’t shy away from problems and will keep trying different things until the issue is resolved.

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

Responsibilities:

  • Consults with customers for development requests, while making suggestions for business flow
  • Gathers specific requirements for development requests, then documents and prepares presentations to translate customer’s development request in technical terminology, including use cases and corner cases
  • Manages customer expectations and avoids scope creeps
  • Participate in the evaluation process and discuss with the development team

Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a reputable University in Computer Science/Software Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Technical Business Analyst
  • Knowledge of key business analysis principles
  • Must have experience writing software specifications for developers
  • Must have experience working with developers
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to work with management, development team and clients to ensure effective communication
  • Knowledge of application and system development life-cycles including planning, requirement, analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and post-implementation activities
  • Ability to effectively lead discussions, articulate business and information requirements, risk benefits, analysis and associated models in clear technical and non-technical language
  • Knowledge of software development life-cycles including planning, requirement, analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and post-implementation activities
  • Knowledge of IT service management such as incident management, change management, configuration management and operations management

Other Considerations:

  • Experience in BA/QA Software development in Point-of-Sale industry
